Right so I’m a gritty individual and I also write too much any way so lets just get to the guts of this post I just lost and get it over with:
Wrote a post yesterday about music marketing propositions - if you’re going to sell stuff make it a sweet deal! Today we’re following up with more practical ways to push a product or service you may be selling.
No one cares about a deal that isn’t sweet! Buying your music is not a sweet deal because people don’t want to pay for music anymore unless they’re be polite or obsessive. If you don’t come up with ideas you don’t have a mind for online business like I do you may find it very hard to make any money at all.
Find out what your fans want and then sell it to them, and you’ll never find that out if you don’t understand your fans and you don’t experiment by selling them new stuff.
So today we were supposed to talk in more detail about pushing the proposition but instead you get the short version:
- post lots of blogs about your offer. LOTS of blogs. Write like a machine like I do, google loves it, and google is what counts. Keep writing like I do and people are going to turn up looking for those keywords, like “music marketing strategies”!
And if you follow my lead, you won’t be shy about pushing the deal in every post, and using your page design so that these offers are a constant presence like I have on the right side of my blog.
Chop all your articles in to bits and rearrange them for article marketing as an effective way of building ranking backlinks to your site.
BUT it doesn’t matter how many people come to your site if your deal is not sweet and it sucks.
- so make a sweet video that lets people know about your sweet deal - just like I have - be real about it! If you can’t come up with something great and represent yourself as real and honest about it, what are you doing in music? You want to sell some stuff? Then front up!
- You need a sales page - this is the page where all your ideas and video and material come together to compell and persuade fans how important the support and how beneficial the product or service is. This is where you close it.
And when you get a new proposition? Just make a new page and start connecting all your links to that.
Hard evidence of happy buyers, fans and good vibes are very compelling here too.
- once you have a sales page that actually works by selling stuff, you’re ready for an online advertising campaign! Do the math. If you put together some awesome product or service for $47 and you spend $20 to make a sale every day by directing clicks to your sales page, then you’ll make $27 per day. But it may be that $40 will get you 2 sales and you’ll make $54 per day. Then you can thank me.
But in the meantime, here’s more ads, because you know there’s nobody else out there who knows all this marketing and music business development stuff who’s going to help you for $600 so I suggest you email me!
